Mymensingh is one of the oldest district in Bangladesh. It’s called the city of education. Historically Mymensingh is valuable like the Sonargaon. In Mymensingh there are 2 Universities : Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) . One top ranked Medical College is also here,which is Mymensingh Medical College (MMC). There are 2 famous Government schools, one is Mymensingh Zilla school (MZS) for the boys only and the other one is Viddamoye Govt Girls School (VGS) for the girls only. Ananda Mohon University College is also a good College.
There’s a park named Joynul Abedin Park which is situation by the side of Brahmaputra and the town hall. Mymensingh is a place of glory and a place where thousands of Masterpiece scholars were born.
